The famous “Sinai Christ”, an icon of Christ from St. Katherine’s Monastery on Mt. Sinai. This icon dates to the seventh century A.D., and is a copy of a second century A.D. icon that tradition indicates was a copy of a portrait of Christ painted by St. Luke the Evangelist.
